Blessed ones�when the first Thanksgiving Day was instituted in the land of America it was a direct precipitation of eternal and infinite gratitude into the human heart by the Holy Spirit called forth by love of freedom and the embryonic fulfilling of portions of freedom's dream in the lives of those early Pilgrims. To celebrate such an occasion was but a spontaneous outbreaking or overflowing of the inner cup of gratitude and joy in the devout hearts of those early but hardy Pilgrim fathers. This feeling of gratefulness seemed to surround them as though literally shining forth from rocks and rills and every templed hill�! The friendship of the blessed Massasoit and others of the Indian bands whose devotion to freedom made them so sympathetic to the aims of the Pilgrims, expanded in their feelings until not in word alone, but in deed as well they could say and feel �brother�! You see, that first Thanksgiving was memorable not only in the annals of America, but also in world history, for it clearly shows the power of gratitude (thank-full-feelings) in creating a climate of abundance where all can live in world brotherhood.
Ought not men everywhere be thankful this Thanksgiving Day that they are entering a new era when truth is coming to light and being �proclaimed from the housetops,� so that infamy may hand its head and steal away from the minds of America's youth who need so much guidance of the right kind?
Your thankfulness as expressed on Thanksgiving Day was instituted as a safeguard, so that the majority of the people would not forget their benefits, but would at least build a yearly momentum to keep alive the cycle of God's continual bestowing of his blessings upon all�for there are spiritual laws which make gratitude essential�to continue to receive one must give! You who are chelas of the ascended host know the importance of not only annual but daily thanks, but I tell you truly�hourly and momentary thanks are even more effective! Pay happy allegiance to God�the Mighty I AM Presence�it takes nothing from you and brings all his good to you! Amplify your thanks and the spirit thereof without limit for nothing exists to so stir the essence of the very spirit of life, light and love (which is God) as praise and thanks. Recall how that biblical history depicts the children of Israel shouting, singing and dancing�making thus a joyful noise unto the Lord�as their thanks for his many blessings. This served as a divine catalyst to release into their worlds the universal cornucopia of abundance upon them and will do so today, right now for all who can pray �Our Father,� thou wondrous light, give us all daily bread. Let no one, man, woman or child, lack the communion with thee which gives them daily spiritual manna�O Father thy kingdom come! Knowing you will rejoice with me in anticipation of the day when all nations can sit down in peace in that kingdom, and further, that I can count on you to do your part, I am blessing you this Thanksgiving and always, in the name of the ascended Jesus Christ who is through me (all ascended beings are one) breaking again the loaf of the young child to feed the multitude. Yes, God supplies abundant life to all willing to receive him!
As always, the approaching harvest season this year inspires gratitude for the fruits of the year�not the least of which is the spirit of thankfulness itself! Dear ones, quite often the fullness of the word �overlook� is itself �overlooked!� Men overlook their blessings by plunging their consciousness into a sea of self-created troubles�when they can instead overlook the human by �looking over� the wall of human creation to the heights of heaven from whence cometh their help!
Children of the light, blessed sons and daughters of the Most High, I assemble with you and with angels of our hosts who have come in this hour from far-off worlds for the celebration of that mighty flame of God-gratitude. By this flame, my beloved, we who are the servants of God amplify the glory of the Word, amplify in you that which is our blood and our very own body. By the flame of gratitude is the crystallization of the God flame received in flesh and the Word is there incarnate.
God-gratitude is the abundant life�the joy of gratitude that I AM born of the
Cosmic Virgin. God is my Mother! God is my Father! I AM walking back to the
Immaculate Heart of Alpha and Omega.
Therefore I come to express gratitude. I come with legions
of angels singing paeans of thanksgiving unto the Cosmic Virgin for the sacred
walk and for the goal established of the Immaculate Heart. All the while as you
walk toward that heart, my beloved, understand that the heart of the Mother
beholds you immaculately.
The gratitude of this people must count in place of an astuteness on the part of its leaders in protecting the population from germ warfare and from the outcropping of nuclear fallout and various conditions in the society such as new forms of viruses and disease that enter unexpectedly.
Therefore we are grateful. We are grateful for Maitreya, the Great Initiator,
who has seen fit to initiate souls in the New Jerusalem, in the City of the
Angels. Each and every one who is of the light who has passed through this
experience has also had a balancing of karma and an opportunity to enter into
the state of grace by finding the very core of light of the flame of gratitude
by finding a single reason to be grateful even for loss of possessions or
transient life itself. Indeed how blessed are they who are able to sing praise
unto the LORD in the presence of adversity, for thereby is their love proven.
Therefore listen, little children, and be grateful not merely when God gives to
you favors but when you are also spanked and when your Tree of Life is pruned
for a greater flowering and fruit. All those then who passed through the testing
of fire who are not of the light, who cursed God and took his name in vain, all
those who gave not the glory for the abundant life that they enjoyed, those who
retain anger and arrogance before the Almighty in the face of destruction and
seeming desertion�they then find that their sins are multiplied unto them that
they do not use the experience wisely to balance karma or to accelerate their
own individual wisdom.
O
blessed, blessed light, come into this temple! Come into the souls of my
children! And let us see how, by the light of gratitude, the Eternal Christ will
be born in this year and you, my children, will know him alive forevermore,
alive forevermore in your very temple!
Gratitude as the catalyst of good fortune must not be overlooked by those seeking abundance in their lives, whereas ingratitude rooted in hardness of heart must be considered the enemy of joy, happiness, and the flow of the divine energy from God to man. Truly it is that openness of spirit aptly described in the phrase �leaping and praising God which frees all men on the planetary body from harms and hatreds and creates a spirit of regeneration that animates the flame of thanksgiving throughout the pageant of the year. In memory of the men and women the world around who throughout the ages have loved liberty more than life, it is my desire to create in the consciousness of each disciple of progressive Truth in this day and age the same victorious sense of gratitude these pilgrims of the Spirit once had and fortunately, I might add, have retained to the present moment.
Yes, Thanksgiving 1971 should abound with joy and peace! It should echo
through the chambers of men's hearts as the sound of gratitude, the praise that
draws forth from God new hope both to the world and to the individual. Gratitude
indeed! Gratitude as a mighty torrent of love that opens the floodgates of the
heart, melts the frozen waters of the mind, and moves along the higher cadences
of mankind's tender and compassionate feelings toward one another. Gratitude in
action opens the way for the beautiful sense of God in action that can and ought
to permeate the balance of the year as a circling bond of faith, hope, and
charity that knows that the darkness will not win because the Light will.
O my beloved Alpha, O my beloved Omega, I AM thy son, and I kneel in this hour in gratitude for thy presence in cosmos. Gratitude to thee, O God, for thy flame of liberty eternal. Gratitude, O God, for resurrection�s sacred fires, giving impetus to renewed desires in the hearts of my own and my own beloved. O gratitude to thee, O wondrous Christ, O sacred innocence�holiness! fragrance! Rose of Sharon! Gratitude for thy blood shed and thy body which is a cosmic cross, and thyself fastened to the cross of life of every son of God.
My Father, I kneel in gratitude and I ask only that the dispensation thou hast already given me might be multiplied to my Keepers of the Flame as they are able to receive it and to multiply it by the violet flame in the center of the solar ring I have drawn round about them. In the holy name of freedom, I AM your son forever. In gratitude, Amen.
On that first Palm Sunday, as my beloved son rode upon the humble colt through the streets of Jerusalem in the midst of those �hosannas� and waving palms, his entire being radiated the feeling of deep humility and yet gracious dignity. He was, indeed, the true representation of the God-mastery of all life�the living Presence of the Father of all! The outpicturing of true divine love which Jesus actually had become had made him a resistless magnet to draw the attention of even the outer consciousness of the multitudes to his light. These, caught up in the spirit of joyous gratitude and praise to God (which was his constant attitude toward life!) loosed all the energies at their command in the loud �Hosannas� and �Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord.� Our Jesus' consciousness was that of complete oneness with his God and the radiation of that feeling from his very physical form was a magic quality which instantly lifted and raised the feelings of all the life he contacted, angelic, human and elemental as well. As he rode through the narrow streets of that ancient city in such peaceful God-control, no expression of studied pomp, pride or even self-satisfaction marred the natural beauty of his countenance which, as ever, remained fully composed, gentle and benign, in full command of the tremendous energies being released from those who thronged his way. For himself he accepted naught of the praise and adulation so released, but offered all to his beloved father of love. In all he did, Jesus obediently fulfilled his divine mission, even in the slightest detail. This triumphal entry into Jerusalem (�city of peace�) was a part of that divine plan, revealing to all his unconquerable spirit as the living example of the all-powerful love of the Godhead�right here in this world of form. His example all men may follow�each one thus becoming his very own Christ-in-action.
The memories of that first Palm Sunday are as fresh and vibrant in my consciousness as though it had been yesterday. The mounting crescendoes of the voices of the people harmoniously blending together in praise to God as the happy procession moved on was thrilling indeed to me�it filled my soul, too, with deep and sincere gratitude�not only for his victory, but for the opportunity which was mine to be a part of that universal pageant of light.
Believe me, my children! Wise indeed it would be for you to develop and constantly let flow from you the virtue of praising and thanking God for his manifest goodnesses on every hand. Then, even as did the Presence of beloved Jesus naturally draw praise from the hearts, throats and feelings of the masses who received the blessing of his light�just so, in days to come, shall a like radiation from you (and from the multiplied examples of the living Christ which arise all over the world, as this light of the �I AM� instruction expands to and through all), draw forth from the hearts of all you contact the praise and gratitude to God for the manifestation of such Christ-accomplishment. At such time that song �Blessed is He that Cometh in the Name of the Lord� shall be sung of you and the many of like attainment, just as it was sung for him in that day so long ago, as earth's recordings go. Let the radiant flame of my grace and peace anchor into your etheric bodies now�today�and awaken in you all the feelings of joy and praise you have ever known in past ages, when your accomplishments of light were very great. Those memories live in you, even though buried deeply in the folds of your etheric garment. Let my gift to you today add to your endeavors now consciously to develop from within yourselves a greater and greater feeling of praise and gratitude to your Source. This greater gratitude will soon outpicture in many wonderful ways in your daily living, so that it will cause all life to be grateful you passed their way. Then the gratitude you so inspire in others for the peace and comfort you thus bring to life shall indeed �magnify your Lord� and make you, too, the victorious Christ-in-action as beloved Jesus was�and a healing Presence to all your radiation touches. During this Easter season, will you please give me your attention for just a few uninterrupted moments each day, so that I may make your feelings of joy as great as mine at your victorious entering into your �Jerusalem��your �city of peace��practically manifesting in your world as master of all things �human��all ways!
Dear and good friends: Sincere feelings of praise and gratitude to our Father-Mother God, released from the heart of anyone, create wide open doors into the realms of all good, through which may continually flow that which is God's good will, in practical, physical manifestation for all. Now, all of life (animate or inanimate)�in the human or elemental kingdoms�enjoys the hope of visible, tangible fulfillment which spring brings�for its magical �electric� currents of new life pass completely through all the substance of the planet and its evolutions�as well as through its atmosphere. Fortunate indeed is the beautiful bird life which can and does praise the good God in lovely song. However, outside of the bird life, for the most part the kingdom of nature has no voice or melody of praise to offer�just expressing in quiet beauty and the greatest perfection it can, that which will turn men's hearts in grateful divine love to the giver of life everywhere. Then, too, how much more fortunate than the elemental kingdom (and even the bird life thereof) is God's highest creation�man�originally created in the image and likeness of his Great Self? Therefore, from within the heart of man can there spring forth such sincere and joyous praise and thanks in song or worded expression; yet how many daily take the definite time and energy so to do? Do you know that one of the most glorious daily manifestations of the ascended host is the releasing of their sincere feelings of praise and gratitude to their Source�just for the gift of life itself? Do you know that even we, who lovingly endeavor to free the earth, rejoice with her and her evolutions, even at the beauty of a springtime such as you are enjoying today. Just last Sunday, our Brotherhood at Darjeeling gathered in the lovely council room of our retreat and there joined our voices in grateful words and song to a gracious Father of love and his divine messengers. Particularly in this instance did we direct our grateful love to the magnificent being�Amaryllis�Goddess of Spring. Long and glorious�patient and constant has been her service to this dear �star� and even the �works of her hands��in gratitude for her love, endeavor to express their adoration by producing the greatest possible beauty of perfection in form, color and fragrance. So always does love beget more love. All increases only after its kind! Said the great Shakespeare: �If you have not a virtue�assume it!� Therefore, if yours is not the nature of one to whom the expressing of sincere gratitude comes easily, try to develop this ability. In the privacy of your own soul and room, daily try to express sincere feelings of gratitude to your God for all the good you now have. Then, as surely as you keep this up, more must come to you! To many, writing a thing down is much easier for them than the speaking of words; so, if that is easier for you to do, try that method of creating and loosing from within yourself the feelings of a thankful heart to your maker. Such a practice will make all the rest of your way �home� much happier; also, it will shorten the journey considerably. Of course, need I add here that you are always most welcome to ask us for our feelings of any God-virtue and we shall be glad to give them to you! Let the majesty and glory of our feelings of sincere gratitude of the ages to and for life flood in, through and around your entire beings and worlds� limitlessly increase�every time you think of me! I would have it so for you� for I love you!
The complexities of the psychology of this planet are many. Be grateful that
you [as chelas of the Ascended Masters] share a common light, a common body of
gnosis, that you have common goals, see eye to eye. You may look around you [in
this Community] and see many individuals who in the normal course of living you
may never have met nor whose acquaintance you might seek. [Therefore,] we desire
to see tremendous love and understanding between all types of people, [a mutual
love and understanding that is] born out of the gratitude which is the flame of
the Goddess of Liberty, wherein you have such appreciation for fellow disciples
on the Path who can share and know and understand your trials, your triumphs,
burdens and sorrows and the true joy of the divine encounter. Few there be to
whom you can relate [in] such joy. [Cherish them. Cherish one another.]
Therefore, this Community of the Holy Spirit, of the Lightbearers of the world
must be strengthened by Love, united by Love, one through Love. For you
collectively must face together in your day and [in your] time every
encroachment that the world could raise against the path of the Great White
Brotherhood, which does represent the confluence of all other streams and paths
and is the open door to the ascension and the balance of karma as it has been
taught for this age of Aquarius. [It is true that] many have teachings that were
relevant centuries ago [and are still relevant, but not all; however,] they do
not have the superseding, intervening dispensations [which are absolutely
indispensable to your victory in this age and to the victory of planet earth in
the Aquarian dispensation]. Considering, then, that the seven o'clock line [of
the Cosmic Clock], which is the position of the Goddess of Liberty and the Lords
of Karma, which is the position of this flame of God-gratitude, is also the step
wherein you enter the initiations of the five secret rays of the Dhyani Buddhas,
realize that gratitude itself is the key to the leap for Love. Thus, beloved,
you might say that yours is the path of �lover's leap� and that leap into the
highest potential of the Holy Christ Self. May you be goaded by my message,
which I convey to you with all tenderness and love. The love which the ascended
Hierarchy does feel for this Community worldwide is accentuated by the very
contrast of this Community and our love to the Darkness and dire forebodings
that one sees everywhere upon the planet. Most beloved, I am grateful for the
release at this conference of three rosaries, three cassettes which are designed
to be given by you in any measure, in any segment.EN7 Any portion of these tapes
that you might recite daily will be received by me with full gratitude and the
complement of gratitude of all of the Lords of Karma, for thereby you give us
entr�e into all the world, not only of Lightbearers but truly of a suffering
humanity.
The beauty and rapid progress of each of you is due to your sincere and intense gratitude. [Gratitude to God and the universe for every single small and great gift you receive daily is truly the key to everlasting life. Cultivate the constant celebration of the virtue of gratitude.] It is the certain pathway to great heights of attainment and the easiest method by which to achieve every good thing.... It is because humanity has forgotten to be grateful to Life for all the blessings upon this earth that it has shut the door to peace and become bound by the chains of its own selfishness.... The Law of Life is to give, for only by giving one's self can one expand.... ...One of the tremendous blessings of the ascended state is the entire absence of any criticism or condemnation of human frailties or mistakes. If the student of Light will train himself to forget everything that is useless or that is in any way undesirable, he will...make rapid progress....For the student to drag after him unpleasant memories is but one of the many ways by which he creates, over and over again, the same experiences of misery from which he is really seeking to be free.
The numberless radiance of God bears silent witness to the finite manifestation of magnificence in nature which appears as beauty, utility, and service to humanity. Gratitude should fill the heart every day, for gratitude forms the wings of a spiritual song that establishes communion in the world of the individual with the highest glory, the Gloria in Excelsis Deo. In this age when the hungers of humanity are often for superior wisdom, the simplicity and the tremendous power of the little child, whose silent eyes tell the miracle of nameless wonders, remind all of the singular grace of God that creates a sense of belonging for every soul in the universe who will accept it. As your heart fills with gratitude for the manifold blessings in your life, I ask you in this year of Our Lord 1969 to remind yourself of the nearness of heaven to humanity. For only a few short years ago, all who are now embodied stood at the gates of birth and death, waiting to step through the veil of flesh into the realm of temporal manifestation.
The manipulators are everywhere, and freedom is constantly imperiled by them. Wise is the man of the Spirit who values his freedom enough to see through the miserable schemes that come in almost any guise, seeking to deny him his God-given right to pursue a life of spiritual enlightenment. What do you suppose, humanity of earth, is behind all of the dreadful forms of control that are being exercised upon your unsuspecting selves? The challenges are everywhere to be found: in the field of education, in the employment marts, in the theater, in the arts, in the world of financial speculation and banking, and in the ordinary parlor game of chance. Such diversions combine to draw from men their life's energies by holding their attention bound for as long as they will hear. Because of the variety of experiences that are available in the marketplace, when men tire of one pastime, another is offered. And thus they while away their lives without ever realizing that the power of a heartfelt gratitude can draw into their worlds the cosmic lodestone of spiritual reality that will communicate the gift of understanding for which their souls pray.
